Week 06 - Excusion to Bradford Industrial Museum, Detail In Man-Made Forms
45 minutes, graphic markers.
The material is reflected with reasonable success as it is quite easy to see that it is a reflective surface however, the highlights have been blended far too much using white chalk and therefore do not stand out like they should to make it look really shiny.
There is no detail on the wheels to differentiate between the shiny surface of the car or the material of the tyre. These things would suggest that the detail has not been as highly observed as it shoud have been to fulfil the purpose of the task this week.
The perspective is quite accurate, though it is not a particularly interesting one, until you reach the wheels which look odd as they are leaning out at the bottom (some of back wheel was out of view) again suggesting the object needed to be observed more closely.
The drawing also needs some shading in the environment as the object is floating, not as it would be in real life.
